Brian Scammell
Being the sole proprietor of the firm, Brian has 36 years of experience as a professional accountant. He has been in public practice since 1984, obtained his CA designation in 1986 and the Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) designation in 2002. After 23 years with Deloitte, Brian started his own practice in 2007.
Brian has extensive volunteer experience and is currently serving as Treasurer for Thrive. Brian loves salmon fishing, table tennis, gardening, running, and spending time at the cabin.
Wendy Scammell
Practice Manager, Wendy, has a Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Arts but has chosen to focus her professional career in financial management and accounting and has more than 25 years of experience working in the charitable sector, as an entrepreneur and working with our firm. She has developed expertise in personal tax, bookkeeping, Sage 50 consulting, and COVID-19 grant programs.
Wendy loves volunteering with her Rotary Club, reading, doing puzzles, going to the cabin, and travelling.
Carter Marissen
Staff Accountant, Carter, graduated from Memorial University’s Bachelor of Commerce (Co-Op) program in 2018, articled with our firm and obtained his CPA designation in 2020 after successfully passing the Common Final Exam. Carter's hobbies include playing and watching various sports, travelling to gain more historical and cultural knowledge, and spending time with family and friends.
Andrew Scammell
Staff Accountant, Andrew, graduated from Memorial University's Bachelor of Business Administration program in 2019 with a concentration in accounting and successfully completed his CPA designation in 2022.
Andrew's hobbies include gardening, cooking and baking, salmon and trout fishing, and spending time in Newfoundland and Labrador's woods. His interests include world geography, world history, and Newfoundland and Labrador culture and traditions.
Kendell white
Staff accountant Kendell graduated from Memorial University’s Bachelor of Commerce (Co-op) program in 2021. She is currently working towards her CPA designation and is expected to complete the program in fall 2023. Kendell’s hobbies include reading, knitting and playing volleyball.
Kristine Griba
Records Management Specialist, Kristine, holds a degree in communication design from Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (which included studies abroad in Pforzheim, Germany.) She has also completed accounting and tax courses, intending to complete her CPA designation. Kristine has extensive experience working in advertising, public relations, construction, and oil and gas. Her hobbies are vegetable gardening and knitting since she likes to express her gratitude through hand-knit gifts.
